High Holidays 2025-5786

We are pleased to announce that Shaare Tefillah, under the leadership of Rabbi Kenneth Schiowitz and Associate Rabbi Neil Lauer, will hold services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in our shul located at 510 Claremont Avenue.

We will have minyanim in the Main Sanctuary, Social Hall, and the Beit Midrash. Please note, the Beit Midrash morning minyan will be a Hashkama service that starts at 7:15 a.m. both on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The Main Sanctuary and Social Hall morning service will start at 8:30 a.m. on Rosh Hashanah and 8:45 a.m. on Yom Kippur.  While we cannot guarantee ending times, we anticipate that the minyan in the Social Hall will finish approximately 30 minutes before the Main Sanctuary minyan on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

We are currently working on our plan to offer childcare during davening over the Yamim Noraim. We will follow up with more specific plans and costs as we get closer to Yom Tov.

We once again will be instituting a staggered ordering system, based on membership status, for the purchase of seats.
Full Members will be able to purchase seats beginning on
        July 14, 2025
Associate Members will be able to purchase seats beginning on
        July 23, 2025
Non-Members will be able to purchase remaining seats beginning on
        August 4, 2025

We are also pleased to announce that seating prices will remain the same as last year:
FULL MEMBERS: $180.00 PER SEAT
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS: $250.00 PER SEAT
NON-MEMBERS: $280.00 PER SEAT

Full Members may purchase seats for their immediate family, at the Full Member rate of $180.00 per seat. Associate members may purchase seats for their immediate family at the Associate Member rate of $250 per seat.

Space at minyanim will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, we kindly ask that you reserve seats only for those who will need them, as we still have a limited number of seats and want to ensure we can fulfill the needs of the entire kehillah.

Reservation and Payment Process
Payment for seats can be made by billing the charge to your account, paying with a credit card through our website or by dropping off a check in the shul mailbox. All reservations must be paid in full in order to reserve seats. For those members who opt to pay by check or bill to their account, your reservation is not considered complete until payment has been received.  All member payments, whether via check or credit card, should be received by the shul no later than August 4, 2025.

Both Full and Associate Members purchasing seats must fulfill their past dues obligations from the current or previous years, and Full Members must be current with their Building Fund obligation. If you are not current or have questions about fees, please contact our Treasurer, Avi Goldin, treasurer@shaaretefillah.org.

Assistance and Special Requests
If you have a specific seating request, please note it where indicated on the online reservation form. We will do our best to fulfill all requests on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have financial concerns, please contact Robert Friedman, Chairman of the Financial Assistance Committee, at rfried57@gmail.com. All inquiries will be kept confidential.
