As you may know, I oversee a Discretionary Charity Fund that is primarily used to give tzedakah to members of our community who are in particular need of funds.

Up until this point, this fund has seldom been used, as I have not distributed much, and I have never solicited for it. (Actually, it has been almost entirely funded by donations that are given at the time of mechiras chametz).

However, there are currently significant needs for funding in our community and I now ask that you consider making a donation to this fund. I can assure you that 100% of the money is going to tzedakah, and that the causes are “real tzedakah”, in the sense that it is going to people who are truly in need.
