Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur Seats:
We are pleased to announce that Shaare Tefillah, under the leadership of Rabbi Kenneth Schiowitz, will once again hold services for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur in the Lowell School located at Lincoln Place and Ramapo Road.

For all seats purchased before August 15, 2010, the following discounted prices will apply:

Seat Type                           Price per seat

Full Members:                       $125.00

Associate Members:                $150.00

Non-members:                   $165.00

Babysitting (all days): $36.00 (no charge for full members)

Seats can be ordered, reserved and paid for by returning the forms that were distributed or online at http://www.shaaretefillah.org/Anouncements/yomim-noraim.html

· Seats will be priced at the non-membership rate of $165.00 per seat for all reservations received after August 15, 2010, regardless of membership status.

· This year, babysitting for children age two (2) and older will be free for Full Members whose reservations are received prior to August 15, 2010. The fee for associates and non-members is $36.00 per child.  Please note, however, that there will be a $50.00 surcharge per child for any reservations made after August 15. This surcharge is due to increased cost of having to hire additional personnel. Youth groups and babysitting will take place at the Shul and not at the Lowell School to further enhance the youth program and our Tefillot.  Babysitting is only available to those who purchase seats.

· There will be a cap for full members of $450.00 per family. The cap listed above applies to immediate family only. Additional seats may be purchased for extended family at the individual seat price. This cap applies only to those reservations received by August 15, 2010.

· Both Full & Associate Members purchasing seats must fulfill their past dues obligations from the current or previous years, and Full Members must fulfill their annual building fund obligation or make financial arrangements to do so, with our Treasurer, Eric Orgen. This is especially imperative this year, as our financial demands continue to increase.

Annual Dinner:
We are pleased to announce that the 8th Annual Shaare Tefillah Dinner will be held on Saturday night December 18, 2010 at Congregation Beth Shalom in Fairlawn.

Our guests of honor will be Avi and Gittel Levin and receiving the Keter Shem Tov award Dr. Meir and Dr. Ann Shinnar.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Membership:
The Board of Directors has kept membership dues flat for the 2010 fiscal year. Full Membership remains at $600 with a $5,000 building fund commitment per family payable over 5 years. Associate Membership remains at $325.

Despite economic conditions, 2009 was a successful fundraising year. As such, we have been able to put a substantial amount of money into a separate capital account for our planned construction.

It is our goal to submit our revised construction plans to the Teaneck Board of Adjustment in the next few months in order to obtain the necessary variances and building permits to move our project forward. At the same time, we will be kicking off our capital campaign to start raising the necessary money to construct the building we need.

Now more than ever, it is time for the entire Congregation to come together and help make this vision a reality. Whether it’s fundraising, volunteering on a committee, or a combination of the two, we urge you to get involved. We can’t do it without you.

Shiurim:
Rabbi Schiowitz's weekly shiur on Maseches Sanhedrin is on break for the summer.
