Changes to Youth Programming Print E-mail

noticeDear S’T” Parents,

We are pleased to announce some exciting changes in our youth programming. We are creating a new group for children in grades 2-5. The children will use real siddurim and participate in a more detailed davening and parsha study.  Our middle group will serve children in grades K-1.  Our youngest group will serve children in nursery and pre-K.

Second, we have opened up a third room so that each group has its own space.  We will have clearly marked signs on the doors indicating where the different groups will be.

We ask for your patience as we fine-tune our changes.  It may take a few weeks to get everything up and running smoothly.  We will continue to give out prizes, snacks, etc.

Just a few reminders of some shul policies:

  1. All children, except for the children in grades 2-5, must be picked up by a parent or older sibling at the end of davening.  We are trying to enforce this policy for the safety of the children.

  1. Please wait until davening is over to pick up your children (nursery -1st grade).

  1. Please do not send in snacks for the children.  We will provide pareve snacks for everyone.

  1. Children must stay in the appropriate groups (for their grade levels). This will help ensure successful davening, learning, and playing.

We thank everyone in advance for their patience as these changes are taking place.  Our goal is to improve the groups at S’T” and create a more successful Shul experience for both parents and children.  Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Warmly,

S’T”  Youth Committee,

Shelley, Nomi, and Michal
